Parish Council Meetings during Coronavirus Pandemic    17 October, 2020

Physical Parish Council meetings are now suspended until further notice as a result of the Covid-19 Pandemic and in compliance with the emergency legislation which has been passed by Parliament. We are still meeting online, via Zoom, though.

Agendas and subsequent minutes of Parish Council meetings are being posted regularly on this website although parish noticeboards aren't being used for now as a precaution. Public participation at meetings, albeit necessarily remotely, is still very much possible and details about how to go about this are included in each meeting agenda.

HELP FOR VULNERABLE RESIDENTS during Coronavirus Pandemic    17 October, 2020

Muncaster Parish Council.

Muncaster Covid-19 Assistance

Dear Resident,

We have discussed the possible impact of Covid-19 and the proposed government instructions/restrictions to the Parish residents, particularly on residents likely to fall within a “vulnerable” group and /or who are subject to restrictions preventing them from leaving their home.

We would like to think that, as a Parish, we can support each other through this unfamiliar time.

Firstly, we are looking for volunteers to support the vulnerable and isolating residents.  This support could include: arranging deliveries, picking up shopping or medication, a friendly phone call, posting mail, help with topping up gas or electric cards or collecting urgent supplies.

If you feel you could offer help in anyway please contact Richard Johnson (Co-ordinator) 01229 717277 or 0771 5073035, Heather Johnson 07894 700004 or Martin Harrison 07923 484766.

Secondly, we want to hear from those that are isolating or feel vulnerable.  Tell us what you need, how we can help.  Unfortunately, as the situation worsens the list of people isolating will grow and you may need the help of a volunteer.  You may be isolating and have support just now, but unfortunately your support network may also need to isolate.

So, if you need us now or in the future please get in touch on one of the numbers above.

Please keep this letter as a reference.

We would hope that nobody within the Parish should be left isolated and without support.
