Conversations with Betty Smith
This is an edited transcript of conversations between Mrs Betty Smith of Ravenglass and Neil Robson in August/September 2026. The interview was carried out over six sessions and ranged over Betty’s 94yrs – so far. The audio recordings are roughly chronological but Betty’s recollections didn’t all come up in strict date order so the transcript isn’t a verbatim record but is edited to improve the flow and to aid understanding.
